Top Ten Tuesday is a meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. Every week they have a different theme for bloggers to post their Top Ten. This week’s theme is…..
Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings
Or Anyone Brings.
Easter Bunny Can Bring ‘Em And I’d Be Thrilled
WHY AM I HAVING SUCH A HARD TIME WITH THIS ONE? Probably because any book I want I just…get through my Audible subscription (SLASH MY SISTER’S SUBSCRIPTION CUS SHE GOT LIKE 12 CREDITS JUST SITTING IN HER ACCOUNT GOING TO WASTE. IMMA USE THOSE UP).
So this week I went more with books that I really want but like…wouldn’t make good audio books? And I always forget that I can buy like actual books because I get so caught up with the other books so I’m reading all those ones, AND they’re cheaper, so why WOULDN’T I just not buy books, I’ll tell you why because I LOVE THE BOOKS. SO I HOPE SOMEONE BUYS THEM FOR ME. EVEN THOUGH I DIDN’T TELL ANYONE I WANTED THEM. SO IDK WHY THEY WOULD KNOW TO GET THEM FOR ME?
ANYWAY I GUESS I’LL STOP YELLING AND JUST TELL YOU THE LIST.
1. Obama: An Intimate Portrait by Pete Souza
I actually bought this as a gift for my Dad, and I love it so much I want it for myself. Trouble is it was like $50. $50 DOLLARS, RIGHT?! WTF BOOKS. Worth it but like…I can’t buy it for myself right now so I just want someone else to do it. HA. But I was flipping through it and it’s just…so….WONDERFUL. Like pictures of Sasha and Malia when they were young, climbing all over the Oval Office, and Barack trying to move a couch around. Like it’s a BEAUTIFUL BOOK, and I miss him SO MUCH.
2. Cravings: Recipes for All the Food You Want to Eat by Chrissy Teigen
I don’t cook. I spend as little time in my kitchen as possible. The other day I was at the store holding a packet of instant rice and some pre-made sausages and I was just like…”NOPE. TOO MUCH WORK.” So I am by no means cookbook person, but I really REALLY want this. Mostly because I adore Chrissy Teigen in all her forms, and also because you know. Maybe she’ll get me going with cooking and I’ll become a wonderful cook person who cooks. I COULD BE WONDERFUL.
4. Nimona by Noelle Stevenson
I have been wanting to read Nimona since Noelle was still posting updates online! But then I found out she was going to publish it and I was like YAS GIRL, I’M GOING TO SUPPORT YOU AND YOUR CAREER WITH MY SPENDING MONEY. And then I….didn’t do that. And THEN I forgot because well…you can’t really do audiobooks for graphIC NOVELS RIGHT??? Even though I know Rebecca Soler (One of my favorite narrators) voices Nimona IN the audiobook…I got off track. POINT IS I WANT IT.
5. LumberJanes by Shannon Watters, Grace Ellis, Brooke A. Allen and Noelle Stevenson
SAME REASON ⬆⬆⬆
6. A Court Of Thorns and Roses Series by Sarah J. Maas
So if you read my Top Ten Tuesday last week you know how much these books mean to me so obviously I’m going to need the hardcover books for ACOTAR so I can DISPLAY THEM around my neck and body for everyone to SEE HOW MUCH I LOVE THEM. And also I guess I could just display them in my home. I love audiobooks, I REALLY DO, but it sucks because like…I can’t friggen display my library. AND SO WHAT’S REALLY THE POINT OF HAVING A HOME IF YOU CAN’T DISPLAY ALL THE BOOKS YOU LOVE?
7. IDK, literally any BOOK?
For the past few years I’ve only done audiobooks so I don’t actually OWN that many books anymore. SO ANY BOOK IN BOOK FORM WOULD MAKE ME HAPPY. I want all the YA books so I can smell them and hold them and hit burglars over the head with them.
